Don’t look enviously at someone else’s so-called charmed life and say to yourself, “Why not me, God?” Instead, consider of all the many, many good things that you do have—those of which other people only dream—and ask, “Why me, God?”
And don’t look at your own ills and issues and ask, “God, why me?” But rather, look at those less fortunate and wonder, “Why not me?”
In all things, be humbly grateful.
“Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.” — 1 Timothy 6:6-8
