Simple.

My wife, Amanda, often jokes that I can sometimes be verbose. And, to an extent, that is true. I like to write, and words are the paint on my canvas. Some paintings are very minimalistic and sparse, and others have layers upon layers of texture. Sometimes, I like globbing words on my canvas to help paint my story in a deeper way.

But sometimes there is beauty in what isn’t there—in the simple things; in letting the canvas be part of the story and not adding so much that it gets complicated and heavy. We often snarl up our lives with too much (or way too much) of this or of that, when in reality, keeping things simple is healthier, easier, and ultimately the way of happiness.

So, in the spirit of keeping things simple, I’ll take Amanda’s advice and do just that. What can you eliminate, curb, purge or avoid to simplify your life? Don’t make it a hard answer—keep it simple.
