Drop the ball.

Aggravations and annoyances. They are like little scraps of tin foil that you slowly roll one on top of the other until you soon have a little foil ball that you carry around.

If you continue to let things aggravate, agitate and annoy you, that ball grows even larger as you add more and more and more layers. One day, you will find it to be so menacingly large that you are unable to even carry it, instead having to exhaustingly push it around. Its sheer mass threatens to crush both you and others unfortunate enough to be found in its path.

Stop collecting foil. When you find a scrap, don’t add it to the ball. Instead, take a moment to examine it. Find in it your reflection and see how things you say or do might become foil for someone else’s ball. Recycle that stuff into something useful so that you can move about happily without fear of crushing someone else…or yourself.
